As an element of the graduation requirements of HCA, students must complete a number of service hours. Many students opt to earn these hours through participation in missions opportunities.
For the past 10 years, HCA has sent a group of students to minister to a community on the edge of the Pawnee nation in Pawnee, Oklahoma. These students lead activities at Camp Crossway, a day camp for local children for a week during the summer.
This past year, another group of students traveled to Puerto Rico to minister in a orphanage there. This trip was sponsored by the chapter of the Spanish Honor Society at HCA. In the upcoming year, students will have the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic.
