Admissions

Application Process

Steps to Apply

Thank you for your interest in Heritage Christian Academy.  Our mission is to provide academic excellence based on Biblical principles. Below are the next steps in the application process.

List of 3 items.

  • 1. Complete the online enrollment application. Open enrollment begins March 6, 2025

Once you submit online enrollment application, you will receive a confirmation email that has a records request form attached. Please complete this form and return it to Jennifer Blanchard, the admissions coordinator (admissions@hcahopkinsville.org).
  • 2. Schedule an admissions exam.

A representative from the school will call to schedule the admissions exam.  This exam consists of 4 parts - personal information, grammar skills, reading comprehension, and math comprehension.  (Students below the 9th grade are not allowed to use a calculator on the math portion.)

The requirements for admission include the following: proficiency on the grammar portion of the admissions exam,  reading at or above the grade level for which they are seeking admission,  a passing score (60%) on the math portion of the admissions exam, no disciplinary events from a previous school, and  active participation in a local church.

Students who do not meet all of the above criteria may be granted admission after other information is obtained and other academic data has been analyzed.  Student admission status will be communicated through email within 3 days of admissions testing.
  • 3. Meet with the Headmaster.

Once admission has been granted, a representative from the school will schedule a family meeting with the Headmaster to discuss elements of the academic environment at HCA.  If necessary, on that same day, you will meet also with Loretta Crisp, the tuition coordinator.
