First Grade Farm Day

On Wednesday, March 26th, the first grade students from HCA attended Farm Day sponsored by the 4-H Christian County Extension Office with the help of students from the local Future Farmers of America clubs and hosted by Garnett Farms.  Throughout the day, students walked from station to station "collecting" items that they could take the farmers market, such as eggs from chickens, wool from sheep, shoes for horses, grains and meal, milk from cows, butter, heavy cream, and buttermilk.  At many stations, students received a hands-on experience of farm life.
